1 year ago today, Jane Marczewski, aka Nightbirde lost to her 4-year battle with cancer. She left the world with a powerful message. Let's dive in.
Introducing Jane Marczewski
Jane was a singer and songwriter who died of cancer one year ago.
She rose to fame after auditioning on Americaโs Got Talent in 2021 with her original "It's OK". The song is about her telling herself everything is going to be ok.
What got to me is how strong she was during the situation.
Her smile shined throughout her audition.
Facing such a big situation, she remained hopeful with a 2% chance of survival.
She gave millions of people hope and perspective that year (2021).
Her song even reached #1 on the Itunes music chart.
All she wanted as a singer was recognition, and she got it after she got the golden buzzer from Simon Cowell
Put into perspective
I'm sharing her story to let you know: It's ok to be lost sometimes. While we were battling to fix our lives, she was battling to save it. It shows that we should be grateful for where we are now. No excuses.
And despite facing the most difficult challenge, we can still smile through it. Remain hopeful. Enjoy life even when it's hard.
As she said,

I heard about her audition, if I remember correctly maybe I even saw her live, it was very emotional. Life is fragile, today we are here, tomorrow we don't know, we must be grateful and enjoy every moment we have
